ASO Square is a small collection of everyday objects chosen for the simple joy they bring to daily life.

We began with furoshiki — a beautiful example of Japanese design that is practical, reusable and full of character — and over time, ASO Square will grow to include other thoughtful discoveries from Japan.

Our Story

The name ASO Square brings two parts of my family together. “ASO” comes from my husband’s Japanese family name, while “Square” comes from my Hong Kong family name, 方 (Fong), meaning “square”.

Together, the name represents a meeting of cultures, ideas and everyday life.

Living between Japanese and Hong Kong influences has made me appreciate the small details that make ordinary things feel special — thoughtful materials, quiet design, useful ideas and a little sense of joy.

Through ASO Square, I hope to share those discoveries with you: objects that are beautiful enough to enjoy, practical enough to use, and made to become part of everyday life.

ASO Square 精心挑選一啲簡單、實用又令人開心嘅日常小物，希望將生活入面細微但真實嘅喜悅帶俾你。

我哋由風呂敷開始。風呂敷正正代表咗我鍾意嘅日本設計——實用、可重用，而且充滿個性。將來，ASO Square 亦會慢慢加入更多來自日本、值得發現嘅日常用品。

我哋嘅故事

「ASO Square」呢個名字，將我家庭入面兩種文化連結埋一齊。「ASO」來自我丈夫嘅日本姓氏，而「Square」就來自我香港家庭嘅姓氏「方」(Fong)，意思正正就係「square」。

對我嚟講，呢個名字代表唔同文化、想法同日常生活嘅相遇。

喺日本同香港文化之間生活，令我更加欣賞一啲令普通物件變得特別嘅細節——用料、設計、實用性，仲有嗰一點點令人會心微笑嘅感覺。

我希望透過 ASO Square，將呢啲發現分享俾你：好睇得嚟想日日用、實用得嚟有溫度，而且可以自然融入生活嘅物件。
